Terms of service

Last updated 31 October 2026

These terms cover TestCube, the test management service run by Greyboxed, an independent software company in India (“we”, “us”). They apply to the TestCube web app, its API and MCP server, the TestCube reporters, and the TestCube for Jira app on the Atlassian Marketplace. By creating an account, joining a workspace or installing TestCube for Jira, you agree to them. If you use TestCube for a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.

The private beta

TestCube is in an invite-only private beta. During the beta it's free, features may change or be removed, and there is no uptime commitment. We'll tell beta workspaces by email before paid plans start, and nothing is charged unless a workspace owner chooses a paid plan at checkout.

Accounts and workspaces

Your data

Test cases, runs, results, attachments and everything else you put into TestCube (“your data”) stays yours. You give us permission to host, copy, process and display it only as needed to run TestCube for you, keep it secure and back it up. We don't sell your data or use it to train AI models. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy notice.

You can export your data at any time, including while a workspace is read-only.

Jira and other connected services

When you connect Jira Cloud, Slack, Microsoft Teams or another service, TestCube reads and writes the data you allow it to, and your use of that service stays under its own terms. TestCube for Jira is provided by Greyboxed, not Atlassian; Atlassian is not responsible for it. Jira is a trademark of Atlassian.

AI features

Some features send the relevant content, such as a Jira story or a test case, to AI providers to produce results: Anthropic for Claude, and Voyage AI for duplicate detection. AI output can be wrong. Generated test cases always go through your review flow, agent-recorded results with low confidence are flagged for a person, and you're responsible for checking output before relying on it. Each paid seat includes an AI allowance; when it runs out, AI features pause until the next period unless your workspace adds its own Anthropic API key.

Acceptable use

Don't use TestCube to:

We may suspend access that puts TestCube or other customers at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

Paid plans and billing

Paid plans are sold through Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller for every purchase, handles payment, invoices and tax, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

Refunds

If TestCube isn't right for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. After that, payments aren't refundable, including for removed seats or unused time, except where the law requires otherwise. Refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method. To ask for one, email hello@greyboxed.dev or contact Paddle through your receipt.

Read-only workspaces, cancellation and deletion

A workspace becomes read-only when its trial ends, a payment fails or its plan is cancelled. Members can still view and export everything, but can't edit, record results, ingest CI results or use AI features. Choosing a plan at checkout restores full access.

We keep a read-only workspace's data for 30 days after cancellation, or 90 days after a failed payment, whichever is later, then delete it. Owners can also delete a workspace at any time. Deleted data is removed from backups as they expire.

Availability and support

We work to keep TestCube available and fast, and to fix problems quickly, but outside a written agreement we don't promise a specific uptime. We may change, add or retire features. If we retire something you rely on in a paid plan, we'll give you notice and a way to export what you need.

Support is by email at hello@greyboxed.dev.

Our software

TestCube, its design and its code belong to Greyboxed. Where we publish TestCube code, it's licensed under the Functional Source License, and the reporters under the MIT License; those licences govern your use of that code. These terms cover the hosted service. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

Disclaimer

Except as stated in these terms, TestCube is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. TestCube helps you manage testing; it doesn't guarantee that your software is free of defects.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claims under these terms is limited to the amount your workspace paid for TestCube in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if that is more. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Ending these terms

You can stop using TestCube and delete your workspace at any time. We may end these terms for a workspace that seriously or repeatedly breaks them, after notice where reasonable. The sections on your data, refunds, disclaimer, liability and governing law continue after the terms end.

Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll email workspace owners at least 30 days before they take effect; other changes apply when we update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using TestCube after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. This doesn't take away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country you live in.
